Vasa Museum, housing a warship built in 1628. The Vasa sank in the harbor on its maiden voyage. |


A model of the Vasa. It had three stories of cannons, which unbalanced it in heavy wind, and water poured into the cannon holes. |


Very difficult to get a good photo of the restored ship, but this is my best shot. It is the world's only surviving 17th century ship, brought up out of the mud and into this specially built museum in 1961. |
